On 16 September, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, FCHA Presdient Ashot Yeghiazaryan, the Chairman of Urban Development Committee of RA Vahagn Vermishyan, the First Deputy of Chairman of Urban Development Committee of RA Armen Ghularyan, the Governor of Lori Region of RA Andrey Ghukasyan,and other Government representatives attended housewarming ceremonies in Jrashen community of Lori marz. Three families have received new housing in Jrashen as part of the Disaster Zone Housing Program.
“We are so happy! We were waiting for this day so long… My son grew up in a domik and I don’t want the same future for my grandchildren… This day is a new beginning for our family. Thank you so much,” said Hmayak Torosyan in tears.
According to the RA Government 1339-N Decision, made on November 22, 2018, AMD 458 mln. was allocated from the state budget for the completion of 44 half-built houses in 13 rural communities of the province.
For the implementation of the project, the RA Government is partnering with the Fuller Center for Housing Armenia Charitable Non-Governmental Organization.
By the end of the year, the hard memories of living in a metal container will remain in the past for 44 families.
