FCHA provides long-term, interest-free loans to low-income families. These families’ monthly repayments flow into a revolving fund and are used to help more families, thereby providing the financial foundation for a sustainable community development effort.
Family Selection Criteria:
- Housing need
- Ability to pay back the long-term, interest and inflation free housing loans
- Willingness to partner with FCHA, partake in the work on their home, and assist in the building of other FCHA participants’ homes nearby.
There is no discrimination against partner families on the basis of ethnicity, religion or political affiliation.
Our challenge is to build a society in which people feel truly valued and fulfilled throughout the course of their lives. But we do understand that building alone cannot provide shelter for all those families who currently live in poverty housing.
To accomplish its mission, the Fuller Center for Housing Armenia garners volunteer and financial support from individuals, organizations, corporate partners and churches.
Hundreds of international and local completely unskilled volunteers come together to work shoulder to shoulder with the families and help them decrease the construction costs.
The homeowners themselves invest hundreds of hours of their own labor into building their own house and the houses of others.
We encourage people to join us in our mission, come and build with and for a family in need, raise awareness in their communities about poverty housing, help us raise more funds to help more families.
We believe that we can make a difference together!
