A steadfast joint effort that h
ast started together with the inception of FullerCenter for Housing Armenia…Having the commitment to communities as one of the core values it’s already the 6th year that KPMG Armenia is joining Fuller Center for Housing Armenia assisting the families in need of decent housing by financial contributions and volunteering activity.
This year, on August 22, KPMG Armenia staff members joined Fuller Center for Housing Armenia volunteer team from the USA, to help the Simonyans from Kotayk Region, the village of Kanakeravan build their home.
For the family mother, Susanna, it was an unachievable dream to have a home of their own…’’We are grateful to everybody for helping us with the construction of our house… At last I will have a kitchen where I can cook for my husband and children, where we can create a happy family atmosphere.
In 1988 the Simonyans moved from Nakhijevan to live in Vayots Dzor region. They moved from place to place with three children dreaming that one day they will have their own roof. Finally in 2007 the family settled in Kotayk region, the village of Kanakeravan, bought a land and started the construction of their house. But in 7 years they were able to build only the walls of the house.
Now the house is shaping day by day. Thanks to KPMG Armenia and many other volunteer groups soon the family will move to their cozy home with all the necessities and enjoy the happiness of being a homeowner.
