On 10 June, Fuller Center for Housing Armenia hosted 2023 first GB volunteer team, led by Sanjay Rodrigo. Even though the team was small, they did wonderful work helping an Armenian family in housing need to become a step closer to their dream home.
It was the first time that the team members have visited Armenia. For two of the members, the Deranian sisters in Armenia, it’s been a long cherished dream to come and see the ancestor’s land.
”It has been a great experience getting to know the family and helping them reach their goal of having a decent place to live. It seems like such a small contribution, but I know our time here has made a difference to this family and their future.” said Norma Deranian Grove, volunteer team member.
For five days, the team has been working side by side with the Karapetyan family in Dvin village, Ararat Region; the team did wall plastering.The Karapetyans live in N.Dvin village of Ararat region. Many years, the family lived in Gevog’s parents’ house. In 2019, they purchased a semi-built house that needed reconstruction.
