Our long-time partners from Knights and Daughters of Vartan visited the Saribekyan family from Garni village of Kotayk region.
For 12 years, the Saribekyanns have lived in a metal container lacking basic housing conditions. By the end of the year, thanks to the generous donation from Knights of Vartan, they will move to live in a decent house and will live a deserving life.
It was in 2015, when Mr. Steven Kradjian, then the Grand Commander of Knights of Vartan, first visited the family being supported through the generous donation of the Grand Council of Knights of Vartan and Lodges. He was in the house the family lived in, then in the semi-constructed house, the family could not afford to complete on their own. In addition, he later participated in the home blessing ceremony of the family becoming the eyewitness of the real transformation. Furthermore, he pushed others to join our mission, and since 2015, it has become an annual commitment for Knights of Vartan Grand Council and Lodges to sponsor at least one house per year.
