It has already become an annual tradition for Armenia Marriott Hotel Yerevan to join forces with FCHA to help more Armenian families in housing need. Over 10 years of partnership! This time the enthusiastic team, led by General Manager Ms. Catalina Susan, worked in Parpi village helping the Knyazyans to sooner finish the construction of their dream home.
The Knyazyan family of three lives in Parpi village of Aragatsotn region. After marriage, Sergo with his wife had to move into a metal container. They couldn’t live in Sergo’s parents’ house as Sergo’s brothers with their families lived there and there wasn’t enough space for everyone.
Sergo and his family live in the metal container for almost 20 years. The metal container is in a miserable condition. There are no basic facilities for living: no kitchen, no bathroom. After moving into the container, Sergo started building a new house but couldn’t afford to finish it. He was able to build only the walls of the house.
This year the Knyazyans became an FCHA beneficiary family and till the end of the year, they will live in a decent home.
“Both my son and I work hard to solve our housing problems. But we were only able to take care of the daily needs of the family. We live here lacking basic conditions. In rainy weather, it becomes damp inside the metal container. It was a miracle for us to see how our house gets the shape and we are so thankful to these people who help us” said Sergo.
